In a heist worthy of a Marvel Cinematic Universe film, the iconic armor from 2008's Iron Man apparently has been stolen from a props storage facility in Los Angeles. The suit is valued at $325,000 and reportedly vanished sometime between February and April, with the prop warehouse in which it resided reporting it missing on Tuesday. The news arrives as Marvel dominates the worldwide box office with the record-breaking "Avengers: Infinity War", which includes Downey, Jr.as Iron Man.

KCBS-TV first reported the investigation and says the crimson-and-gold costume was used in the 2008 "Iron Man" film, which starred Robert Downey Jr.

There are now no leads in the investigation, and the identity of other missing items have not been revealed.
