Egyptian "King" Mo Salah was forced to leave the pitch after just 30 minutes of last night's Champions League final, causing an uproar from across the football community.

Karius later posted another lengthy apology on Twitter, saying he was still reliving the scenes in his head.

"We await Salah to join us in the World Cup matches; I hope he gets well soon", Elmohamady said in an interview with ON Sport channel. "I'll ask for compensation, which could exceed €1billion, for the physical and psychological harm that Ramos gave Salah and the Egyptian people", he added.

The Egyptian Minister Youth and Sports Khaled Abd Elaziz also expressed optimism.

It was feared the injury had ruled Salah out of the 14 June 14-14 July World Cup, but on Sunday the Reds' striker said he was "confident" he would be back in time.
