"We know that an offer from Manchester City has reached Napoli", Santos said earlier this week.

If we had to pick one player that has been linked with the most number of clubs over the course of the season, it has to Napoli's passing maestro Jorginho.

Jorginho has reportedly agreed a contract with Napoli and is now waiting for the two clubs to thrash out an agreement before he can move to Manchester City this summer.

The newspaper reports that an initial €45m offer was rejected by the Partenopei, who are holding out for €55m.

City are also hopeful of completing a deal for their other principal target, Leicester City's Riyad Mahrez, for about £60 million, ... "The coach is one of the best in Europe".

Jorginho, a Brazilian-born Italy worldwide, refused to discuss the topic of his future when quizzed while with his national team.

According to Manchester Evening News report that Pep Guardiola has told Manchester City chief executive Ferran Soriano and sporting director Txiki Begiristain to wrap up the deal for Mahrez in time for the club's U.S. pre-season tour.

But negotiations between City director of football Txiki Begiristain and his counterpart, Napoli sporting director Aurelio De Laurentis, appear to have found a breakthrough.

Yet, with super agent Kia Joorabchian taking on the role of Mahrez's representative, the Leicester playmaker is now set to get his wish of sealing a move to a Champions League club.
