Michael Rotondo, the 30-year-old man who grabbed national headlines when his parents had to go to the New York State Supreme Court to get him out of their house, is finally, really, and truly leaving home, reports USA Today.

Michael Rotondo became a well-known name in May after his parents asked a court to help them evict him, after he ignored multiple letters asking him to leave, including offering him US$1,100 to help find an apartment. The Post-Standard of Syracuse reports Rotondo called 911 on Tuesday, saying a person had called his phone from a restricted number to call him a "loser".

Rotondo and his cousin packed a pickup truck loaded with bags of clothes, speakers, a lacrosse stick, pictures, books, a pair of loose boots, a shoe rack, work tools, and a sewing machine.

Rotondo tells TMZ. he called the cops on his father in the midst of the moving process because his dad refused to hand over some toys he wanted to pack for his child - yes, Michael has a son.

In other notes, they offered $1,100 to help their son find a new place to live and said they'd help fix his broken-down vehicle, which was parked on their property.

Officers arrived and the Lego bricks were found in the meantime, the newspaper said.

"It's great not to have to be here anymore", he said told Syracuse.com outside his parents' garage Thursday. He failed to persuade the judge to grant him another six months with his parents and was ordered to leave.

Rotondo complied with the court order and moved out of the home Friday morning.

"I want to get out of my parents' house", the millennial replied.

The Rotondos' house in Camillus, N.Y., where Michael Rotondo, 30, was evicted at the request of his parents.

"Get one - you have to work!" "I don't have to guess what's behind Door No. 1".

Calls made to Mark and Christina Rotondo's home Friday were not answered.

Rotondo will reportedly be staying in an Airbnb while he figured out a long-term plan.
