After a gathering with the president, Kim Kardashian West met with one other Trump in Washington D.C.

Trump shared a photo of Kardashian West and himself in his office on Twitter, captioning it: "Great meeting with @KimKardashian today, talked about prison reform and sentencing".

Along with the general randomness of this meeting, lest we not forget all the times Trump has hurled misogynistic comments Kardashian's way.

A number of news outlets reported on Wednesday that the two reality TV stars would meet, then Trump confirmed it on his Twitter account.

Reality star and mega-beauty mogul Kim Kardashian is headed to the White House Wednesday to meet with President Trump and senior advisor Jared Kushner. Charles was released from federal prison after serving 21 years behind bars for a crack cocaine offense, but two years after he started putting his life back together a federal appeals court ruled he had been set free in error.

Kushner has focused on prison reform since joining the administration.

"The system has failed", Kardashian tweeted in November.

Kardashian has pushed for months on social media for Johnson to receive clemency.

Kim Kardashian went to the White House yesterday to have a meeting with Donald Trump about prison reform.

She thanked the president and expressed hope he would "grant clemency to Ms. Alice Marie Johnson" after they met. She was one of the first celebrities to speak on Brown's case and even enlisted her own attorney, Shawn Holley, to assist in Brown's case.

Now after meeting the 71-year-old Republican, she is optimistic that Johnson will be given a second chance.

Johnson has missed the births of her grandchildren and great-grandchild while in prison.

Kushner has spearheaded a White House initiative to help better prepare prisoners for life after incarceration.

Earlier this month, Mr Trump pardoned the heavyweight boxer Jack Johnson, who was convicted in 1913 of violating the Mann Act for transporting a woman across state lines for "immoral purposes".

She continued, "Kim though, you know what you need, there needs to be more mental rehab in prison, so when prisoners get out, they are rehabilitated".
