  • Here's what to expect at Apple WWDC 2018 iOS 12 new Mac OS upgraded Siri

There have been quite a few notable ... But a report from the Information (paywall) suggests that Apple will loosen its restrictions on the NFC chips in its phones (which are now pretty much only used for Apple Pay), and developers will soon be able to use them for other functions, such as unlocking doors or cars. As per the rumours, it is also expected to add Siri support for the email and navigation to HomePod. This will take the form of "Digital Health", a collection of settings and usage monitoring tools that will debut in iOS 12 to help iDevice users monitor specific app usage. All of these features, baked into iOS 12, will serve as a prelude for a rumored Apple AR headset that should arrive in 2020 at the earliest.

Google at its May developers conference introduced tools that can tell people how long they've been using their smartphones and how long they've been using certain applications each day.

Apart from this, iOS 12 is also expected to bring new Animoji for the iPhone X, as well as Animoji integration for FaceTime.

Apple macOS 10.14 will support a completely new dark mode. There's also a chance the company could discuss the future of some of its most important products, like an updated iPad Pro that's been rumored for months, as well as a Mac Pro desktop it plans to release next year.

The iOS App Store has been a huge money maker for Apple, and for its developers. However there is no such confirmation yet. That varies from year-to-year, but we've seen WWDC run between one and two hours. This means that the potential new MacBook Pro could offer performance improvements of up to 6 percent in single core workloads and 43 percent in multi core workloads. There is a rumor rolling in the air that addition of Spotify is likely to be found, along with some fitness-based features. Some of the rumored devices were new iPhone SE model and a smart speaker but both seem doubtful for now.

The conference gives a peek into the new features that the various kinds of software bring with them and how they could change the whole experience of using your favourite Apple devices. It is expected that the device may even work as a hotel key door and even virtual transit card for easier access.

Apple Watch: Apple's wearable device will likely be getting an update come September, with a larger, edge-to-edge screen. Well. we don't know, but we can guess. So, if the users want to store more data they might have to upgrade their account.
