But when New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman asked the first lady's spokeswoman about these claims, she said: "I don't believe Mrs. Trump has ever discussed her thoughts on anything with Mr. Giuliani".

According to a report from The Hill, earlier this year, Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, publically claimed that she and Donald Trump engaged in an extramarital affair in 2006 while Donald and Melania were still technically newlyweds, and the now first lady was pregnant with their son, Barron Trump.

"A guy walked up on me and said to me, 'Leave Trump alone".

Following the comment, Daniels' lawyer Michael Avenatti called on the president to fire the former New York City mayor: "If any atty for any Fortune 500 co. made the public comments that Giuliani did yesterday (which he affirmed this morning), they would be immediately fired", he said.

The former GOP mayor of NY also attacked Daniels, an adult film actress who alleges she had an affair with Trump more than a decade ago, personally and denied that sex workers had credibility. The purported text messages show Cohen attempting to have Daniels appear on Sean Hannity's show in January 2018, after the Wall Street Journal broke the news that Cohen had paid Daniels $130,000 to remain silent about an alleged relationship with Trump and In Touch magazine published an article about a 2011 interview with Daniels in which she discussed the relationship.

Giuliani had initially said at an event in Tel Aviv, "I respect all human beings".

"Many talented women of substance have chosen to make their careers in the adult industry", she said.

Scarborough said the first lady's terse statement crushed Giuliani and signaled just how wrong he was to speak for her.

"Every once in a while a smoke signal kind of comes up from the first lady and her office, where you see kind of how she really feels about things, and that was an awfully big one", he added.

Daniels' legal professional Michael Avenatti replied by calling Giuliani a "misogynist" on Twitter.

In a statement, Avenatti said Davidson is "a proven liar and his conduct is abhorrent".

In a statement to CNN, Avenatti said Davidson's suit will be thrown out by a judge.

It seems that Giuliani spoke out of turn, though, because on Thursday, Stephanie Grisham, East Wing communications director, had something to say about the comments.
