Tyson Fury wins his comeback fight against Sefer Seferi

Seferi, who had campaigned nearly all his career as a cruiserweight, was never going to trouble the 6ft 9ins Fury by whom he was out-weighed by more than four-and-a-half stone, and the favourite was clearly capable of ending the fight at will.

"I wanted to see Tyson get some more rounds".

"I learned two-and-a-half years is a long time to be out".

"Because I got high" begun to blare out over the speakers, but it quickly became clear Fury had changed the lyrics to reflect his own story.

It would do him good to have few nights as facile at this one, with the majority of the aggression in the arena supplied instead by a small pocket of fans who sparked a brief brawl midway through the bout.

Fury was in high spirits and after he was introduced initially by Eminem's "Without Me", the 29-year-old switched it up with a fitting song. Look at Joshua and Wilder, they're all over 6ft 5in so I've got to prepare for people like that. Take the hard ones out first. I am determined to enjoy my career this time around and not take anything for granted.

Fury’s opponent quit on his stool

The eagerly-awaited comeback happened almost three years after the British boxer secured a triumph over Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015.

But Fury rediscovered his passion for boxing and claimed to have lost eight stones (112 pounds) ahead of facing Seferi.

According to the BBC, Frank Warren, promoter to both Fury and Frampton, confirmed that the heavyweight would appear on the Belfast card as he continues his comeback.

Afterwards Fury, whom his promoter Frank Warren said will fight again in Belfast on August 18, was his usual whirl of contradictions insisting Warren serve up a 7ft 2in opponent for his next bout - or alternatively, a man with one leg - and pouring scorn on the rest of his heavyweight rivals.

"I've been realistic from the beginning that we're not going to put him in with big names early on", Warren said at a news conference. "You can see that he's still got a bit of weight to lose and you can see that he needs the rounds and we'll just have to step up his opponents each time".
