Steve Trevor is somehow back in first look at Wonder Woman 1984

The sequel is being filmed and some photos have been released, revealing one major detail.

Now, with Warner Bros. having released a few pictures from the film, it appears another character will also be in the mix, one that we-spoiler alert-saw perish in an airplane explosion.

Warner Bros.is celebrating the start of production on "Wonder Woman 1984" by debuting two first look photos from the highly anticipated superhero sequel.

But according to a tweet that Jenkins sent out this morning.Trevor looks to be fine - albeit as confused as we are - in 1984. As we've previously noted, Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins will be returning in their respective roles as star and director, while Kristen Wiig has officially been cast as villain Cheetah.

Gadot is, of course, reprising her titular role.

Warner Bros. did not specify how Steve Trevor (who seemingly died in the first film set in World War I) is returning.
