Trump voices concerns about son being entangled in Mueller probe

  • President Is Reportedly Fearful that Don Jr. Broke the Law and May Find Himself in Legal Jeopardy

On July 27, Trump said on Twitter that "I did NOT know of the meeting with my son, Don jr", in response to reports that his former lawyer, Michael Cohen, was ready to tell authorities that Trump had known.

Stephanopoulos played a clip from July 2017 in which Sekulow denied any involvement from the president.

"Fake News reporting, a complete fabrication, that I am concerned about the meeting my wonderful son, Donald, had in Trump Tower", Trump wrote. The president told confidants that he doesn't believe that his son purposefully or knowingly broke any law, however he may have wandered into a legal mess.

As the investigation moves along, it will be interesting to note what reaction the president may have, if in fact it appears that Don Jr. may be a target or a subject of the Mueller Probe.

Sekulow said the important thing was that Trump's legal team shared accurate information with the special counsel.

However, he revealed in his tweet what many have alleged for more than a year: that the infamous Trump Tower meeting during the height of the 2016 presidential campaign was about obtaining damaging information on Clinton, his opponent for the White House, whom Trump did not specifically mention in his tweet. He quickly replied, "if it's what you say I love it".

Mueller is examining whether Trump obstructed the investigation of Russia's role in the 2016 election. In that statement, Trump Jr. had indicated that the meeting had been "primarily" about the issue of the adoption of Russian children by Americans.

Johnny Manziel has disastrous CFL debut, including a nightmarish first half
The first was on that Sutton tip, but the second was on a third-down gamble and Manziel clearly got greedy on that one. Manziel finished the night 11-for-20 for 104 yards and those four picks. "This game humbles you", Manziel said.

Mendocino Complex Fire now state's 6th largest wildfire; more evacuation orders issued
Braden Varney, 36, was working alone overnight July 14 fighting the wildfire while his assistant went to get a new hydraulic hose. The report says the death of the 10-year veteran highlights the need for better risk assessment, communication and supervision.

Foodora condemned for closing Australian operation during back pay dispute
Foodora denied the accusations, noting it was divesting its interests in France, Italy and the Netherlands at the same time. Most people are attracted to the freedom and flexibility of the gig economy, but these five factors may change your mind.

A decision about whether he sits for an interview with Mueller may also occur in the coming weeks, according to another one of his attorneys, Rudy Giuliani.

He concluded by further distancing himself from the meeting his son arranged, writing: "I did not know about it!"

Trump, however, has maintained he had no prior knowledge about the meeting.

That timeframe coincides with the length of Trump's vacation at his Bedminster, New Jersey golf club, which is expected to last until August 13. Jared Kushner and then-Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort were also in attendance.

Trump might as well have just confirmed The Post's report that he is anxious about what the meeting portends for his son. "Now, that's a different statement than saying that there's proof beyond a reasonable doubt of a criminal conspiracy", Rep. Adam Schiff of California, the ranking member Democrat on the House intelligence committee, said on CBS's "Face the Nation" show on Sunday.

Not all conservatives got on board with the new love of Russian Federation, however, as the American Enterprise Institute's Norman Ornstein made clear.

Since that point, it has resulted in charges against 32 individuals and three Russian companies and five guilty pleas, including those from Trump's deputy campaign chairman and his initial national security adviser. And at a trio of rallies, he escalated his already vitriolic rhetoric toward the media, savaging the press for unflattering coverage and, he feels, bias. Paul Manafort, who ran Trump's campaign at a crucial time leading into the Republican National Convention, is now on trial on charges concerning his previous business activities that grew out of Mueller's probe. "I am providing a great service by explaining this to the American People".
