  • Police officers stand on duty outside Sergei Skripal's home in Salisbury Britain

The UK government has not yet made a decision on the preparation of the request for extradition of two Russians suspected of involvement in the incident with poisoning as a Novice in Salisbury. The statement denied an earlier report about the request by the Guardian.

The move is likely to continue the downward spiral of United Kingdom and Kremlin relations after a former Russian military intelligence colonel, Sergei Skripal, and his daughter, Yulia, were found unconscious in Salisbury from exposure to the Novichok nerve agent in March.

London blamed Russian Federation of being behind the Skripal attacks in the weeks after the incident, a charge Russian Federation has categorically denied.

London and its allies have accused Moscow of trying to kill the Skripals and says the two cases are likely linked.

It is reported by The Guardian, citing sources in the British government and the security service.

According to the publication, the request for extradition has already been prepared and is going to be sent to Russian authorities in the nearest future. And the query would worsen the diplomatic row between Britain and Russian Federation.

"This is Litvinenko all over again". They were found unconscious on a public bench in Salisbury.

The Russian constitution forbids the extradition of Russian citizens to another state.

In 2007, President Vladimir Putin rejected an extradition request for two Russians suspected of the assassination of the former FSB officer Alexander Litvinenko in London using radioactive polonium.

The Skripals were hospitalized for months in critical condition, but after what they described as a painful period of recovery, both were released.

Russian Federation retaliated by expelling an equal number of Western diplomats.

Three months later, Dawn Sturgess and her partner Charlie Rowley fell ill after they came into contact with the substance, which was found in a sealed perfume bottle.
