A teenager in Melbourne pleaded guilty after hacking into Apple's corporate computer network, where he accessed customer files and downloaded 90 GB of data. The best part is that he stored it all in a folder called "hacky hack hack".

So why did the teen hack Apple?

His offending from the age of 16 saw him develop computerised tunnels and online bypassing systems to hide his identity until a raid on his family home uncovered a litany of hacking files and instructions all saved in a folder titled "hacky hack hack".

Apple detected his presence and reported the teenager to the Federal Bureau of Investigation, who in turn passed the case to Australian police.

The court heard that he had broken into the company's mainframe a number of times past year and downloaded around 90 gigabytes of files before the hack was traced and he was blocked.

The Age said customer data had been accessed, and that the boy managed to obtain customers' authorised keys - their login access. Interestingly, the boy holds an impressive image in the world of hacking.

Substance in dug up Egyptian jar 'most ancient' cheese
Ptahmes was Mayor of Memphis and high-ranking official under the Pharaohs Sethi I and Ramses II (1290-1213 BC) of the XIX dynasty. The cheese was found wrapped with canvas inside a broken jar.

But, try as he might, he got tracked down: Apple's systems recorded the serial numbers of the MacBooks from which the attacks were launched.

The report notes that the Australian police has seized two laptops, a phone, and hard drive from the teen.

The court heard the access "worked flawlessly" until the teen was caught.

Business Insider has contacted Apple for comment.

"At Apple, we vigilantly protect our networks and have dedicated teams of information security professionals that work to detect and respond to threats".

His name could not be made public and he will be sentenced next month. The boy told police that he was a "fan" of the company and wanted to work for Apple when he grew up.
