  • Trump blasts Tester at Montana rally 'He loves the swamp'

It may not be easy to upstage President Trump, but one Montana high school student certainly did Thursday night.

At another point, a Twitter poster noticed, after Trump says, "We've picked up a lot of support", the man in the plaid shirt mouths the words, "Have you?" "But I say, how can you impeach somebody who has done a great job?"

As he stood alongside Tester's opponent, state Auditor Matt Rosendale, Trump said Tester "will never drain the swamp because he happens to live in the swamp". And given the midterm elections in November could shift the congressional balance of power toward the Democrats, Trump knows all too well that could trigger impeachment proceedings against him.

"I beat all of these senators, all of these governors, all of these brilliant political minds", said Trump, alluding to the field of 16 other Republicans who ran for president.

The former Celebrity Apprentice host also brought up the headline-making The New York Times op-ed, in which an author - whose identity was kept anonymous - claiming to be a senior administration official claimed they're leading a resistance movement from within Trump's own White House. But now, they're taking heat from angry Trump supporters who think they were mocking the president.

Democrats hope to ride a wave of anger among liberals toward Trump to take back control of at least the House, while Republicans aim to keep control of the House and the Senate, partly to protect the president from possible impeachment proceedings and congressional investigations. How do you do it?

"If and when the information emerges about that, we'll see", she said.

Trump said during an August interview with "Fox and Friends" host Ainsley Earhardt that the market would crash if he were forced out of office.

"You're going to have a country that's going to turn into a third-world country because if the opposite party becomes president, ..."
