A "cloture vote" - which would limit further debate on the nomination - is expected on Friday morning, which means that a confirmation vote would likely take place on Saturday or on Sunday.

As the officer attempts to escort Schumer and another woman forward, the officer can be heard asking "You want to be arrested?" "I am terrified. I am here because I believe it is my civic duty to tell you what happened to me while Brett Kavanaugh and I were in high school". Her message- anyone who votes for Kavanaugh is saying women don't matter.

Almost 300 protesters were arrested at a U.S. Senate building on Thursday afternoon as crowds of activists descended on Capitol Hill while lawmakers reviewed the FBI's report on the allegations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.
