  • CNNCNN host Anderson Cooper left and James Roche Brett Kavanaugh’s former roommate at Yale University

One of Brett Kavanaugh's Yale classmates has revealed a new text message showing that the Supreme Court nominee attempted to tamper with a potential witness to one of the sexual assaults he allegedly committed.

But Roche wrote that Kavanaugh lied under oath.

Kavanaugh repeatedly has denied all allegations of sexual misconduct.

Roche told Anderson that Kavanaugh lied under oath about his drinking.

Roche writes in the Slate op-ed he is willing to speak to the Federal Bureau of Investigation about his experiences with Kavanaugh and Ramirez.

'I will vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh, ' Collins said on the Senate floor during a 45 minute speech, adding: 'My fervent hope is that Brett Kavanaugh will work to lessen the divisions in the Supreme Court'.

The confidential Federal Bureau of Investigation report will go out to all 100 Senators, but not their staff, on Thursday according to NBC.

Kenneth Appold, a professor at Princeton Theological Seminary who'd been a suitemate of Kavanaugh's when the alleged incident with Ramirez occurred, told The New Yorker that he'd also not been contacted by investigators despite having reached out to the FBI and submitting a statement through the bureau's website. "He would throw up, and then, in the morning, would have a lot of trouble getting out of bed".

The Senate is expected to begin a key procedural vote on Kavanaugh's nomination Friday. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz., who pushed to delay the vote on Kavanaugh so the FBI could investigate, said the judge would not be confirmed if the probe revealed he had lied to senators.

James Roche, the Yale roommate of SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh also mentioned by Kit Winter, the gay man who talked with NY magazine about his experience rooming with Kavanaugh, appeared on CNN's Anderson Cooper 360 last night.

During his hearing before the Senate Judiciary Committee last week, Kavanaugh admitted to drinking alcohol during his high school and college years, but undercut the notion that he went beyond social norms. Pittard also cited Richard Oh - now an emergency room doctor in California - as another witness to whom the Federal Bureau of Investigation did not reach out. Senator Sheldon Whitehouse asked Kavanaugh about the term in relation to a yearbook entry from Kavanaugh's senior year in high school.

Kavanaugh said it was a drinking game with "three glasses in a triangle".

"Boofing" and "Devil's Triangle' are sexual references".

Deborah Ramirez has claimed Kavanaugh exposed himself to her and shoved his penis in her face at a dorm party while they were students at Yale University. I know this because I heard Brett and his friends using these terms on multiple occasions.

"I did not want to come forward", he wrote in the op-ed. My mother, who has since passed away, was a Republican state representative in CT. He also told Cooper he believes Ford is telling the truth.

McConnell said that the FBI's report on its expanded background check into Ford and Ramirez's allegations would be delivered to the Senate on Wednesday night. "I feel like I'm being silenced".

Roche concluded his op-ed on an equally scathing note.

"You can't lie your way onto the Supreme Court".
