Despite Houston's alleged interest, trade discussions haven't advanced far due to Minnesota's asking price from the Rockets, which ESPN's Stefano Fusaro reported Wednesday.

Despite the fact that we keep inching closer and closer to the start of the 2018-19 National Basketball Association season, the Minnesota Timberwolves still have not accommodated Jimmy Butler's trade request.

Disgruntled Minnesota Timberwolves star Jimmy Butler's emotional, profanity-laced tirade Wednesday was directed primarily at Karl-Anthony Towns and Andrew Wiggins - as well as members of the franchise's front office - during an unexpected practice session appearance, sources told Yahoo Sports.

The Heat remain the lone legitimate suitor for Butler as of Wednesday afternoon as the Timberwolves have reportedly "had no serious, active talks with any other team".

The Timberwolves open the regular season October 17 at San Antonio.

Jose Mourinho could still be sacked by Manchester United
United now trail arch-rivals City and Liverpool as well as Chelsea by seven points in the Premier League . If Man United paid a lot of money for him, it's because he's a good player.

It is unclear if Butler made his full-time return to the Timberwolves season or just proved a point of some kind in the practice.

Minnesota's star swingman, who has been at odds with the organization for almost a month, requested a trade from the Timberwolves on September 19. Thibodeau had been urging Butler to rejoin the team while team owner Glen Taylor knows Butler has to go.

Days ago, multiple news outlets reported that a trade between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Miami Heat for Jimmy Butler had fallen apart.

Despite his owner's intent to deal Butler, Thibodeau wasn't done trying to keep his star shooting guard. Minnesota moved to amend the framework of the trade and talks collapsed on Saturday, league sources said. Butler verbally attacked Thibodeau and generally manager Scott Layden per Wojnarowski, reportedly telling Layden during a scrimmage, "You f--ing need me".
