The world's first quad-camera phone is now official and it's called the Samsung Galaxy A9 (2018).
The "number of lenses you can pack into a smartphone" race continues with Samsung added a "quad camera" to the Samsung Galaxy A9. The vertically aligned quad cameras are its main highlight. The third camera is a 10-megapixel f/2.4 telephoto with 2x optical zoom, and the fourth and last is a 5-megapixel f/2.2 camera that enables depth-of-field effects, and lets you adjust your background blur in real time. The bottom lens is for a 5MP depth camera.
The most interesting feature is undoubtedly the Samsung Galaxy A9's quadruple camera. Covered with glass on the front and back, the device is available in three colour options: Lemonade Blue, Bubblegum Pink, and Caviar Black.
The Korean company's new A9 device is being aimed at the "Instagram generation", and will go on sale in the United Kingdom in November, starting at £549.
KitGuru Says: I often find myself gravitating towards the flagship variants, but Samsung has crafted a compelling mid-range offering with the Galaxy A9. With the MicroSD card slot, the Galaxy A9 users can further expand up to 512GB. Is this practical or just a marketing ploy?
As well as a bunch of snappers on the back, it's also got a Super AMOLED 6.3-inch screen (no notch), 128GB of storage space and a fairly hefty 3,800mAh battery.

Google Pixel Slate: Made By Google Event First Look
To that end, the Pixel Slate can be easily attached to the Pixel Slate Keyboard (sold separately) and used with a digital stylus . But one design choice many in the Android community dislike is the inclusion of such a large notch at the top of the display .
Air India flight hits compound wall at Trichy Airport, all passengers safe
The Minister said safety of passengers is of "paramount importance", adding that "growth can't be at the expeneof safety". The Boeing 737 then hit the upper portion of the airport perimeter wall, located about 50 feet beyond the localiser.
Triple cameras on smartphones are a thing now, but for how long? The pricing is yet to be announced by the company, but we don't expect it to be under $500.
Connecitivity-wise, the Galaxy A9 2018 comes with a USB Type-C port and, to our surprise yet again, a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Samsung focuses on mid-range, amid talk it's making a phone, that's not the Galaxy S10, with four rear cameras. Form Samsung Galaxy S9 to the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Note 9, Samsung has always shipped feature-packed flagship killers.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 is set to be available sometime in November and will go for €599 (RM2,888) in Europe, while the Galaxy A7 is already available for €350.
There's another new Samsung Galaxy phone trying to grab your attention and this one comes with a very unique feature.
