Megyn Kelly Is Done At NBC After Her Blackface Remarks

Kelly is presently under fire for controversial remarks she made about "blackface" during Megyn Kelly Today, in which she stated doing so for Halloween costumes was not racist if the person is portraying another person or character.
On Thursday, the network pulled "Megyn KellyToday", and ran a rerun of a show from August.
"Given the circumstances, Megyn KellyToday will be on tape the rest of the week", an NBC News spokeswoman said Thursday morning.
She fought back tears as she issued her apology during her show on Wednesday. NBC have not made any official statement about the future of the show. "I'm Megyn Kelly and I want to begin with two words: I'm sorry", she began.
At the same time, her former association with Fox caused some NBC colleagues and viewers to regard her with suspicion.
Regardless of her employment status, Kelly will reportedly be paid her entire $69 million contract.
NBC could not be reached for comment. We estimate her net worth now at $30 million, though that number is from when we were factoring in the assumption that she would earn the full amount of the NBC contract.

Craig Melvin called Kelly's remarks "indefensible" as well as "ignorant and racist" while Al Roker said she "owes a bigger apology to folks of color around the country". "But this person is just arguing that maybe we should also have a black Santa, but Santa is what he is, and just so you know, we're just debating this 'cause someone wrote about it, kids". "It was clear that it was not working and there is a lot of dysfunction".
NBC attempted to command lofty price hikes in the 9 a.m. hour, when Kelly's show airs, during last year's upfront ad haggle - when networks look to secure a bulk of their ad commitment for the following season - but received pushback from advertisers. After just eight episodes, "Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly" was pulled, but not before Kelly had drummed up some controversy. Audiences were equally unexcited about Megyn KellyToday.
NBC News declined to comment.
This isn't the first time people have been confused about the Megyn versus Megan thing. They were hoping to bring some of her popularity.
Kelly has parted ways with her talent agency, CAA, according to the sources, and she has hired attorney Bryan Freedman. "She is not ever coming back", an NBC exec toldDailyMail. Or will they try to find something else with the NBC family of channels (Bravo, for example) where they can ride out her contract and get something for their money?
