Trump threatens to revoke more White House press passes after Acosta

The White House on Wednesday suspended the press pass of a CNN reporter who sparred with Donald Trump at a news conference, during which the president branded him the "enemy of the people".

"It wasn't doctored", the president said.

"They gave a close up view".

"Nobody manipulated it. All that is is a close-up", he said.

Trump, in remarks Friday, also did not back off his administration's decision to suspend Acosta's press credential, which allows the CNN correspondent access to the White House grounds. "You released a doctored video - actual fake news", Dornic tweeted.

Unprompted, Trump brought up April Ryan, the White House correspondent for American Urban Radio Networks, who doubles as a CNN analyst.

Phillip asked Trump whether he wanted Matt Whitaker, the newly-appointed acting attorney general, to rein in Special Counsel Robert Mueller. Phillip asked of the special counsel's Russian Federation investigation. "You ask a lot of stupid questions", he said, shaking a finger at the journalist, then walking away.

In response, CNN said through its Twitter feed that Phillip's question wasn't stupid.

The president also said, "CNN should be ashamed of itself [for] having you working for them". The news outlet was under fire for a series of reports on the alleged Trump-Russia ties.

United Technologies Corp. supplies the angle-of-attack sensors and indicator for the 737 Max, according to Airframers.net. But he said search teams from the military, police and others would stand down, leaving just his agency to press on.

Trump has frequently attacked the media, including during his presidential campaign.

"It's the same thing with April Ryan", Trump said.

"When you say 'doctored, ' you're a dishonest guy", Trump told the reporter on November 9. "We will not tolerate the inappropriate behaviour clearly documented in this video", she said.

Ryan became a CNN contributor past year.

The interaction between Acosta and the intern was brief, and Acosta appeared to brush her arm as she reached for the microphone and he tried to hold onto it. "Pardon me, ma'am", he told her. "I've never seen a president do anything like that".

"The question is: did the reporter make contact or not?" One of those questions during the gaggle, however, he thought was "stupid".

Trump said he hadn't made a decision when asked by a reporter how long Acosta would remain in the "penalty box". It's also unlikely the differences could be explained by technical glitches or by video compression - a reduction in a video's size to enable it to play more smoothly on some sites - because the slowing of the video and the acceleration that followed are "too precise to be an accident", said Shapiro, who trains instructors to use video editing software.

Acosta said in a tweet late on Wednesday he had been denied entry into the White House by the Secret Service. The way you treat other people is terrible. Its president, Olivier Knox, said in a statement Wednesday night that the group "strongly objects to the Trump Administration's decision to use US Secret Service security credentials as a tool to punish a reporter with whom it has a hard relationship".

"I think Jim Acosta is a very unprofessional man".
