Protesters have converged in cities nationwide to call for the protection of special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into potential coordination between Russian Federation and President Donald Trump's campaign.

It means that Mr. Trump's installation of Matthew Whitaker as acting attorney general of the United States after forcing the resignation of Jeff Sessions is unconstitutional.

Mr Whitaker has made multiple negative comments about the Mueller investigation.

Margaret Brennan asked Graham, "A$3 re you going to ask [Whitaker] to recuse himself and is Matthew Whitaker's appointment constitutional?"

Democrats will specifically scrutinize whether Whitaker made any "commitments to the president about the probe", Mr Schiff said on NBC. "He's already prejudged the Mueller situation".
