The new Hyundai Palisade is an eight-seater, but a captain's seat second-row opt can turn it into a seven-seater.

A good reason to buy a vehicle such as this is for its carrying capacity, and with all seat rows up, there is 510 litres of space available, which beats a lot of the Palisade's competitors aside from the Explorer (595 litres) - behind the second row seats, there is 1,297 litres of space.

The Palisade will be made in South Korea but it is yet to be known if it will be offered in markets outside of North America.

Speaking of speakers, the Palisade can be had with the premium 12-speaker, 630-watt Infinity audio system with Clari-Fi and QuantumLogic Surround Sound technology. The separated composite headlamps and a vertically-connected forward lighting signature give it a distinctive look. From the outside, the look follows that of Hyundai's current design language, meaning a bold Y-shaped grill, high-mounted LED daytime running lights, and headlights mounted on the bumper. At the rear, taillights are also vertically oriented. The Palisade will be available in oversized 20-inch alloy wheels. In spite of being huge, the drag coefficient is 0.33, making the SUV aerodynamic.

In a matter of hours before the official presentation in Los Angeles, the Network got fully revealing spy photos of the new SUV Hyundai Palisade, which will be released in the summer of 2019. "As the lead for Palisade design, it was a pleasure to work with our global design teams throughout its development and ultimately present this phenomenal product before you today". Upper trim levels will come equipped with Nappa leather seating and other premium materials. Its three-zone full auto air conditioner enables drivers to control air conditioning for the second and third rows. For more convenience, the third row offers power-folding/unfolding and reclining seats.

USB ports are in all three rows, with a total of seven available. We also expect to see Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance Assist and Smart Cruise Control with Stop and Go. There are 16 cupholders on offer as well.

The rear seat passengers can get cooled/warm air from diffused-air vents on the roof, though these can be adjusted to make the air flow more focused if needed. This innovative function provides quieter air conditioner operation and more uniform air distribution. Every Palisade is equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. It also includes a wireless charging pad, although it's not clear whether this will be a standard or available feature.

Powering Palisade is an Atkinson-cycle 3.8-liter V-6 with 291 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque that will flow through an eight-speed automatic transmission.
