  • Trump rejects report that he hid details of Putin meetings

Mr. Trump himself had said there was a connection during an interview with NBC News' Lester Holt in May 2017.

Senator Lindsey Graham, a prominent Republican, told "Fox News Sunday" that he does not trust the Times, but added that "if this really did happen, Congress needs to know about it".

The New York Times reported that the FBI launched the previously undisclosed counterintelligence investigation to determine whether Trump posed a national security threat, at the same time that it opened a criminal probe into possible obstruction of justice by the president.

"I would. I don't care", said Trump about revealing details of the discussion.

Specifically, the subcommittee intends to investigate Trump's summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Helsinki last summer, Trump's business dealings with Russia and in the Middle East, North Korea and Trump's alleged falling "in love" with dictator Kim Jong Un, the assassination of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, Trump's decisions in the Syrian civil war, among countless other issues.

The Washington Post reported over the weekend that Trump has repeatedly sought to hide his interactions with Putin, often one of the main US adversaries in worldwide affairs.

Why should anyone believe claims that Trump, at age 70, after decades as a real estate mogul, con man and media celebrity, with a billion-dollar fortune, suddenly chose to throw in his lot with Vladimir Putin?

On Sunday, congressional Democrats said the steps Trump took to keep his conversations secret brought forth uncomfortable questions about the relations between the two men and why the USA president echoed some of Putin's positions. "I find it astonishing, and to me it tells me a lot about the people running the Federal Bureau of Investigation, [former Deputy Director Andrew] McCabe and that crowd".

Yankees Sign Infielder, Appear to be Out on Machado
But there have been rumors that the Yankees are only lukewarm on Machado, and may not even top TWO hundred million in an offer. Harper met with the brass of the Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday, but as expected, no deal was reached during that meeting.

"Will they join us now?"

So lets get something straight here: we have ISIS and other terrorist organizations around the world who want to do us harm and the Democrats oppose President Trump so much that they're willing to put America even further at risk? "Anybody could have listened to that meeting, that meeting is up for grabs".

The Russia reports came as Trump plays up his presence at the White House during the standoff with Democrats over funding for his long-promised wall at the U.S. -Mexico border.

If one takes for good coin the main contention of the reports by the two newspapers, their acquiescence in a potential Trump declaration of emergency rule is inexplicable.

Manafort, meanwhile, has admitted to sharing polling data with a Russian during the 2016 presidential race, according to a court filing inadvertently made public by his lawyers.

The businessman, who has close ties to the Kremlin, also had ties with Paul Manafort, Trump's former campaign manager, documents have showed. But the grand jury impaneled to hear evidence has been extended beyond its original 18-month mandate, suggesting investigators have more work to do.

"It's curious that throughout that whole summer when these investigations started, you had Vladimir Putin policies nearly being parroted by Donald Trump", Warner told CNN's "State of the Union".
