  • Titanfall battle royale game Apex Legends ‘to be released on Monday’

Respawn's spin-off is called "Apex Legends" and is set to be a multiplayer, battle royale game set in the Titanfall universe for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Breslau also claims to have heard that Apex Legends will support up to 60 players, that it'll use a modified version of Valve's Source engine - as did both Titanfalls - and that we can expect Overwatch-style loot boxes and microtransactions. Apex Legends, rumored to be a free game, is already being mentioned by top streamers like Shroud and CourageJD, so it may not have the same marketing problems.

The first official announcement of Apex Legends came from CEO of Respawn Entertainment, Vince Zampella. First game from Respawn Entertainment was superb, made giant robot action feel unbelievable and even stepping out of your mech to land a few headshots with the auto-pistol/Darryn's lack of skill was satisfying to say the least.

Rumours circulating this weekend indicate that a new free-to-play game will be launched that will include a class-based Battle Royale experience. Occassional "glitches" also occur on-stream to reveal some blurry images and further fuel speculation.

Respawn Entertainment will officially show off Apex Legends Monday Morning starting with a teaser stream at 8:00 AM PST with the full game reveal followed at Noon. What we'll see on Monday's stream is now unknown, but if what TheQuartering reports is accurate, Apex Legends looks to be a battle royale title that focuses on 3-player teams with players using hero abilities.
