While Maroon 5 headlined the Super Bowl halftime show this year, Adam Levine and co. were joined by a few friends.

All told, the 2019 Super Bowl Halftime Show was as much of a clusterfuck as one might expect: an overblown production with no real direction or actual sense of objective.

After Big Boi's exit, Levine stripped off his sweater to perform "Sugar".

It was a last-ditch attempt at some gravitas after several minutes of unenthusiastic guitar-strumming and hip-gyrating, but it came over as a little lame and must have elicited an eye-roll from Janet Jackson, who was crucified for her wardrobe malfunction at the Super Bowl exactly 15 years ago.

It was then back to Maroon 5 for Girls Like You and She Will Be Loved, before Big Boi rode in on a Cadillac convertible, minus his Outkast co-star Andre 3000, for The Way You Move.

Trump is pitted between the political middle and his own base, which has embraced his demand for a border wall. The official said he was instructed not to say whether any other specific countries would be mentioned.

And let's not forget Levine's (often) awkward dance moves.

Maroon 5 tepidly attempted to rise above the controversy by launching lantern drones into the arena spelling out the words: 'One love'.

Pink, Rihanna and Cardi B all declined to perform, with the latter two doing so due to their support of footballer Colin Kaepernick. "But there's a man who sacrificed his job for us, so we got to stand behind him".

The star player, who led the San Francisco 49ers to a Super Bowl appearance in 2013, is now suing the League.

Gladys Knight called her rendition of the "The Star-Spangled Banner" an "exciting moment" and "one to remember" in the tunnel of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, where the New England Patriots played the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday in Atlanta.

The overwhelming response on social media seems to be one of disappointment, though, with fans hilariously complaining about Travis Scott taking the place of an actual performance of "Sweet Victootherswhile other argue that the mere performance of "SICKO MODE" wasn't enough".
