Ariana Grande claims she pulled out of performing at the Grammy awards because her creativity and self-expression was stifled by the producers.

Variety initially reported that Grande pulled out of the show after producers allegedly put restrictions on her song choices that they did not place on other performers.

The root of the problem appears to be over which song she would perform; she wanted to sing her new single "7 Rings", while organizers traditionally prefer artists perform the music they are nominated for.

Grande is up for two Grammys on Monday: pop solo performance for "God Is a Woman" and pop vocal album for Sweetener.

She went on to explain that she actually proposed three songs that she could perform to the Grammy producer, but the team failed to work with her.

"It's about collaboration. It's about feeling supported". If you believe the rumors, the pop star apparently felt "insulted" after the Grammys production team did not allow her to perform her new hit, "7 rings". Ariana was understandably devastated when Mac died of a drug overdose in September, but she was still with Pete at the time, and it seems she was trying to hide just how distraught she was. "And it's too bad" Erlich told the AP.

This year's ceremony will see performances from Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus and Diana Ross with nominations led by Kendrick Lamar.

"I offered 3 different songs", she wrote.

In "break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored", we're led to believe that Grande wants to sabotage Riverdale star Charles Milton's relationship so she can have him all to herself. I love y'all. I hope u enjoy this album.

Showing her appreciation, she added: "Hope that helps everyone understand my decision". "I am still grateful for the acknowledgment this year".

The 2019 Grammys takes place this Sunday, February 10.
