"Klobuchar is pointing to her record of working with Republicans, and says the country is exhausted of what she calls "the shutdowns and the putdowns, the gridlock and the grandstanding".

Washington D.C. [USA], Feb 11 (ANI): The US Senator from Minnesota and Presidential candidate, Amy Klobuchar, slammed US President Donald Trump's statement where he mused that she looked like a "snowman" by the end of her campaign announcement.

A former prosecutor and corporate attorney, Klobuchar joins a list of Democratic hopefuls that includes fellow Senators Cory Booker of New Jersey, Kamala Harris of California, Kirsten Gillibrand of NY and Elizabeth Warren of MA. All photos by Steve Cohen.

Klobuchar's focus in recent months has included prescription drug prices, a new farm bill and election security.

She added, "But that sense of community is fracturing across our nation right now, worn down by the petty and vicious nature of our politics. And I can tell you as someone who's run some pretty tough campaigns in Southern Minnesota's rural First District, there is nobody you want on the ballot more than Amy Klobuchar", Walz said. "And yes, I can push people, I know that", Klobuchar said. She said all USA homes should be connected to the Internet by 2022, endorsed universal health care, and said all people should need a background check before buying a gun.

The article cites anonymous sources who describe Klobuchar as "habitually demeaning and prone to bursts of cruelty that make it hard to work in her office for long".

Klobuchar has pointed to her broad appeal in her state.

Klobuchar told reporters in early January that she was "getting close to a decision" about running for president in 2020.

UNICEF condemned the killing of the two Palestinians, warning of the significant violence Palestinian children endure. The suspect comes from the flashpoint city of Hebron in the south of the occupied West Bank , police said.

Warren's campaign comes after senators, including Kamala Harris and Cory Booker have already jumped into the race for the Presidential bid.

Her profile rose previous year when she won plaudits for her cool-headed questioning of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh in a hearing focusing on allegations of sexual abuse and drinking.

She has been measured in her criticism of Trump, attacking the effects of his trade tariffs on farmers but avoiding more explosive issues like immigration and gun control. "I think she's got a real shot here".

From left: U.S. Sen. She's always there doing the work. Former vice president Joe Biden and Beto O'Rourke are other strong candidates who are likely to announce them running for presidency soon.

Klobuchar has been a member of the Senate Democratic leadership team since 2015, heading up the Democratic caucus's steering committee.

Navarro made the comments in response to Trump's Sunday evening tweets, which mocked Klobuchar's official announcement speech delivered in heavy snow in her home state of Minnesota.

Klobuchar was the first 2020 Democratic presidential hopeful to use her launch speech to vow action on digital issues like privacy, saying "big tech companies" are misusing personal data.

She later ran for Hennepin County prosecuting attorney in 1998 and was re-elected in 2002. It also chronicled challenges including her father's struggle with alcoholism, a topic she touched on during Kavanaugh's Senate hearing, and her parents' divorce.
