Two women who say they are in a relationship with R. Kelly defended the R&B singer, despite criminal allegations he sexually assaulted teenage girls, and in a tearful interview broadcast on Thursday accused their own parents of trying to extort money from the performer. "How? If my ex-wife is destroying my name and I can't work?"

The indictment accuses Kelly of sexual acts with three children older than 13 but younger than 17.

In the days after R. Kelly's explosive, almost 80-minute interview for "CBS This Morning", some of his sexual abuse accusers have broken their silence about one of the most dramatic parts of his interview, when he jumped to his feet in a burst of emotion, flailing his arms.

Meanwhile, Clary, 21, and Savage, 23, described their relationship with Kelly.

Kelly, 52, grew increasingly upset throughout the interview, eventually looking directly into the camera, yelling and standing up out of his chair, but King, on the other hand, sat cool, calm and collected as Kelly lashed out and repeatedly denied all claims against him.

"They said, because if they ever have to blackmail him, what they're trying to do now, they can use it against him, which is exactly what they're doing", Clary said.

The anonymous victim says she was visiting her mother in Detroit when she came into contact with a friend who was also the Pied Piper's assistant at the time. In charging documents, prosecutors cited statements he made during an interview on ABC's Good Morning America identifying two people in a photo of the surveillance video as his attackers. Clary even said she's "well taken care of" with Kelly.

Savage backed up Clary's account of the situation. "So when I met him, he thought that I was 18". If the evidence against him is overwhelming, "this kind of interview might be kind of a Hail Mary" to influence a potential jury pool. He must pay the full amount to get out of jail, a spokesman for the Cook County Sheriff's Office said.

Kelly's girlfriends say parents are lying for money
Allegations have followed Kelly ever since it was revealed that, at 27, he illegally married his 15-year-old protegee Aaliyah. Kelly's team told King that the singer would not be in the room for the interview , but he was reportedly present.

The achievements we've made in a short space of time have been fantastic. "He is a young coach, he has young players as well". Romelu Lukaku scored a brace before Marcus Rashford's penalty sealed it for United.

Kelly told King he has done quite a few things wrong in relationships but said he has apologized to women for those. He rambled about proposing to his ex-wife Andrea on a helicopter with a puppy and denied ever abusing her.

Savage and Clary said they were both "absolutely" in love with Kelly and the pair said their families should not be concerned.

Michael Avenatti, a lawyer for two of Mr Kelly's alleged victims, has responded to the singer's double jeopardy comments.

Thiagarajah said he might allow a client to do such an interview - but only if he were confident the client could keep his emotions in check and "stick to a script". "And as a woman I'm sure you would not either". "I'm telling y'all. I flew in on a helicopter with a damn puppy", Kelly exclaimed. "This is not me!" I'm fighting for my f-ing life!

"They're going back to the past and they trying to add all of this stuff now to that, to make all of the stuff that's going on now [feel] real to people", R Kelly claimed. I'm going to ruin you, I'm going to ruin him.

"Azriel Clary is presently suffering from years of mental abuse and manipulation by R. Kelly".

"How can I pay child support? How?!"

He is due back in court for the child support case on 13 March and again for the sex abuse cases on 22 March, 2019.
