Disney has debuted the first full trailer for its live-action remake of the 1992 animated musical Aladdin, with Will Smith's controversial performance as the genie taking centre stage.

Directed by Guy Ritchie and stars Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott as Aladdin and Jasmine, respectively, the movie is scheduled for a worldwide release this May. Will Smith's Genie doesn't always have blue skin. Several key characters are missing from the trailer, but they seem to be in the full-length film.

As we all know Smith's Genie has been a target of controversy for Aladdin.

And while many of us are stoked to see Aladdin come to life in the 3D world, some of the images released from the movie has fans anxious.

Disney's just dropped the new Aladdin trailer, and it really gives our first properly good look at the movie, instead of just awkward teasing.

The live-action film features new recordings of the original songs written by Menken and lyricists Howard Ashman and Tim Rice.

Other cast members are set to include Naomi Scott (Princess Jasmine), Marwan Kenzari (Jafar), Navid Negahban (The Sultan), Billy Magnussen, Numan Acar, Frank Welker (voice actor from the original) etc. Now that we have a trailer, though, what can we tell of Aladdin?
