"We must ensure that today's tech giants do not crowd out potential competitors, smother the next generation of great tech companies, and wield so much power that they can undermine our democracy", contends Sen.

But Jackson dismissed his plea for no more prison time on the charges of conspiring to launder money and tamper with witnesses. But, he continued, in response to whether he would pardon Manafort, "I have not even given it a thought, as of this moment".

Facebook temporarily removed multiple advertisements from Sen. The plan would also aim to curtail mergers between companies like Facebook's acquisition of Instagram and WhatsApp.

Not all of Warren's presidential campaign ads were affected.
