"Catherine left the hotel on Tuesday March 5 in the early hours of the morning, at 1.37am to be exact, taking with her a musical instrument".

Searchers have found the body of a 23-year-old British woman in Guatemala a week after she went missing, police in the Central American nation said on Monday.

Her parents also made a video appeal, which was posted on the charity's social media page.

The trust said that at this point she had a puppy with her but no other possessions.

People searching for Ms Shaw said she left Hotel Mayachik twice; first at 01:37 local time, returned, then left again at 05:23 heading in the direction of Lake Atitlan.

"The case will now be handed over to the team that will carry out the criminal investigation, so as to find out what happened".

Shaw had been travelling since September last year and previously visited Mexico and California.

Its Show Time: Apple’s Next Event To Take Place On 25 March
Apple could also possibly talk about the AirPods 2, AirPower, iPad mini 5 , and the 7th gen iPad at the event . Apple's App Store, where the service is likely to be distributed, is now available in more than 100 countries.

A hand drum, known as a hang, previously reported to be in Ms Shaw's possession, was left behind and has been located, and she did not have a guitar with her when she left, the trust added.

The charity has identified two of them already and is working on further leads.

Her friend, Jess Elizabeth, told The Tab: "She's a beautiful soul, loves nature, outdoors, looking after the planet, interested in permaculture, yoga, travelling".

"We would like to speak to any of these travellers to both rule them out and to ask if they have seen or spoken to Catherine on their travels".

Her father, who has travelled to Guatemala to join the search, also issued a heartbreaking statement, saying: "Your friends, your family are all really anxious about you".

He said: "She was very much a nature lover and adored sunrises, so it seems quite conceivable that she went up tp the mountain to greet the sunrise, shedding clothing as she went, and due to her lack of intake of food and fluid may have passed out or fallen, causing wounds to her body". "Please come home, sweetheart".

In a heartfelt video appeal, they urged anyone who had information about Catherine Shaw to get in touch.
