The 20-page list of military construction projects that might be cut to pay for President Donald Trump's wall along the Mexican border contains millions for projects in Trumbull County.

The Pentagon has not said which of the hundreds of projects on the list would be cut or delayed to build the wall.

According to an accompanying statement, the list is a complete accounting of all projects still unawarded as of December 31, 2018.

On the House side, Evan Hollander, a spokesman for the House Appropriations Committee, said Congress had been seeking the list for weeks and found little in its release to clarify what projects could be targeted.

"This is not the secretary of defense in my view, this is the White House wanting to hold the list back because they worry that if senators and House members saw the potential projects that were going to be ransacked to pay for the president's wall, they would lose votes".

Both the Senate and the House have now passed a "motion of disapproval" against the national emergency and Trump last Friday signed a veto of the motion, the first veto of his presidency.

President Trump has issued his first Presidential veto, overriding a resolution to reign in his national emergency declaration in order to get border wall funding.

Another possible $3.6 billion from military construction for the wall was included in a $9.2 billion "emergency fund" that was part of the administration's overall $750 billion request for next fiscal year.

Over the weekend, Kaine questioned whether the plan to deliver the list after a Senate vote to rebuke the president's emergency declaration, which was scheduled for Thursday as well, was politically motivated.
